Acts 15, Election, Ephesians 2:8-9, Faith, Galatians 2:16, Israel, Justification, Remnant, Romans 11:6, Saved, Works
Welcome to the Grace in Focus podcast. Today, Bob Wilkin and Sam Marr are answering a question from Romans 11:6, which is in the section of Romans where Paul is dealing with Israel. Is this verse parallel to Ephesians 2:8-9 or Galatians 2:16? All the passages in question refer to faith, works, justification, salvation, etc. Can these verses, therefore, have a similar application? September 23, 2025 by Bob Wilkin in Blog - “Savior of the World”, 1 John 4:14, Election, John 4:42, kosmos, Savior
Jesus is the Savior of the world according to John 4:42 and 1 John 4:14.   According to Calvinists, the word kosmos in those verses refers to the world of the elect. In other words, He is the Savior of 100% of those whom He elected to salvation and 0% of the non-elect.   But the word

Does John 6:37 Teach Election to Everlasting Life?

May 9, 2025 by Bob Wilkin in Blog - Election, Election to everlasting life, John 6:37
Tom asked the following question: A Calvinist cited John 6:37, which says, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me,” to argue in favor of election unto everlasting life. How shall I reply?  Coming to Jesus in John’s Gospel––including in chapter 6 (see verse 35, two verses earlier)––refers to believing in Him.  There is nothing about election in John 6:37. Giving

March 19, 2025 by Ken Yates in Blog - Calvinism, Election, John 3:16, Lordship Salvation, Perseverance of the Saints
Most of us have met people who are prisoners in a theological prison. Calvinists believe that God chose those who would be in His kingdom before they were born.
