¿Podemos saltar de Su mano?

Pregunta

La mayoría de nuestros pastores dicen que un creyente puede saltar de la mano de Dios, basándose en Juan 10:28. ¿Cómo puedo refutar tal afirmación?

Respuesta

Lamento decir que sus pastores están equivocados (o, en realidad, me alegra decirlo):

1.) Juan 10:28-29 no dice que podemos saltar de las manos del Padre y de Jesús. Eso no se deriva del contexto ni de las palabras de esos versículos.

2.) Juan 10:28-29 dice que “nadie las puede” arrebatar, lo cual incluye al creyente mismo.

3.) Juan 10:28-29 dice que el Padre ” es mayor que todos,” incluso el creyente.

4.) Juan 10:28-29 promete que los creyentes “no perecerán jamás.” Si podríamos perder la salvación por “saltar de Su mano,” o por cualquier otro medio, podríamos perecer, y la promesa de Jesús sería falsa.

5.) Juan 10:28-29 promete que los creyentes tienen “vida eterna.” Si podríamos perderla, no sería eterna.
