How Is Jesus the Propitiation of the World? (1 John 1:5-10, 2:2, and 1 Corinthians 6:8-12)

Question How do you explain 1 John 1:5-10 and 1 Cor 6:8-12? I believe that John is speaking of salvation here. It does not seem to fit with the two-benefit view (if that is what this view is called). How is He the propitiation for the sins of the whole world but the blood of Christ
