October 2, 2024 by Ken Yates in Blog - belief, Disciple, Grace, John 1:37-42, Mark 1:16-20, Works

They receive it as a gift. Works play no part in it whatsoever. A disciple is a believer who follows Christ in obedience.

September 30, 2024 by Ken Yates in Blog - Disciple, Humility, John the Baptist, Mark 6:12-13, Mark 6:30-43
In Mark 6:12-13, Jesus sends the twelve disciples to the nation of Israel. It would have been very exciting to be a part of that group. They preached the same message that John the Baptist and the Lord had preached. Jesus was the Christ. Those who believed in Him for it would receive eternal life.

Does “Abide” in the Bible Mean the Same as “Believe?”
abide, Believe, Disciple, Jn 8:30-32, Rom 12:2
Today on Grace in Focus radio, we are answering our listeners' questions. Bob and Shawn will be discussing the concept of "abiding," and how it relates to "belief." We will hear the guys define the term "abide," and shed some light on how it is used in the bible. They will address these questions in light of passages like John 8:30-32 and Romans 12:2. These and many more things will be discussed on the show. We hope you can join us as we dive into this important topic.
