August 23, 2022 by Ken Yates in

The Darkness at the Cross: Part 3 (Mark 15:33)

August 22, 2022 by Ken Yates in Blog - cross, Israel, Judgment, Kingdom, power of sin
In part 2 of this series, I discussed two popular ways of understanding the darkness at the cross of Christ. While there were some truths contained in those views, I think there is a better alternative. This alternative fits the context of Mark 15 better. There are two keys to adopting this view. The first

The Darkness at the Cross: Part 2 (Mark 15:33)

August 18, 2022 by Ken Yates in Blog - Creation, Darkness, Judgment, Sin
In part 1, I argued that the centurion at the foot of the cross wisely considered the darkness at the time of Christ’s death and came to some surprisingly good conclusions about who Jesus is. We should ask the significance of that darkness as well. First of all, however, I would like to consider some

Słowo „śmierć” w Liście do Rzymian

August 17, 2022 by Ken Yates in Jedynie Wiara, czyli darmowa łaska w centrum uwagi
Słowo „śmierć” (θανατος, thanatos) występuje w Liście do Rzymian 22 razy.

The Darkness at the Cross: Part 1 (Mark 15:33)

August 17, 2022 by Ken Yates in Blog - centurion, cross, Darkness
Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. Apocalypto is truly a guy movie. The hero is about to be sacrificed by a Mayan priest at a temple. The people believe their crops are failing because the gods are angry with them. Just as the

Das Wort „Evangelium“ im Römerbrief

August 15, 2022 by Ken Yates in Freie Gnade im Brennpunkt

Teaching in Kenya

August 15, 2022 by Ken Yates in Blog - doctrine, Eternal Security, Missions
Recently I went to Kenya to conduct a week-long conference on the Gospel of John for pastors and church workers. I want to make some observations, within my limited experience, on teaching in other countries. The conference had approximately 150 attendees. It is safe to say that almost all (if not all) of them strongly

Natuto Mula Sa Iba (Jeremias 9:1-3)

August 12, 2022 by Ken Yates in Ang Tinig ng Biyaya

August 12, 2022 by Ken Yates in

Aprender de los demás (Jeremías 9:1-3)

August 11, 2022 by Ken Yates in Su Gracia Gratuita - Arrepentimiento, Disciplina, Ejemplo, Iglesia, Israel
