汤姆问了这个问题: 一位加尔文主义者引用了《约翰福音》第 6 章 37 节的内容,该节写道:“凡父所赐给我的人,必到我这里来。”以此来支持关于“被选中获得永生”的观点。对此,我该如何回应呢?  在《约翰福音》中提及“来到耶稣身边”(包括第 6 章中,第 35 节,两节前),指的是信耶稣。 《约翰福音》 6:37 中并没有提到拣选。说得不是选择或拣选。 父将谁赐给耶稣呢?根据《约翰福音》第 6 章第 37 节,是把那些来信祂的人赐给耶稣。因此,在相信之前发生了一些事情,从而导致了这种相信。此外,还可以参考《约翰福音》第 6 章第 35 节、第 39 节、第 40 节和第 47 节。 《使徒行传》16:14 中提到:“主就开导她(吕底亚)的心,叫她留心听保罗所讲的话。”《圣经》中没有任何一处将重生称为“开导心灵”。相反,重点在于,在任何人信主之前,上帝会在一瞬间开启他们的内心/头脑(参见《路加福音》 24:45),以便他们能看清真理并相信它。 其他经文表明,祂会让那些积极回应并被祂吸引的人的心灵得到开启。 换句话说,那些由父赐予给主耶稣的,是那些愿意接受真理、并响应主最初的寻找而主动寻求主的人。 再来看《约翰福音》 5:39-40 的内容:“你们查考圣经,因你们以为内中有永生。给我作见证的就是这经,然而你们不肯到我这里来得生命。”(加粗部分为作者所加)其中的“你们不肯到我这里来”这句话,显然与加尔文主义关于拣选的观点相悖。而且这句话在《约翰福音》 5:40 和 6:37 中均有出现。 另外,还可参阅《马太福音》7:7-11,其中主说:你们祈求,就给你们;寻找,就寻见;叩门,就给你们开门。这里同样并非是绝对确定的。 使徒保罗在与雅典哲学家们的交谈中说道: “他从一本造出万族的人,住在全地上,并且预先定准他们的年限和所住的疆界, 要叫他们寻求神,或者可以揣摩而得;其实他离我们各人不远。”(《使徒行传》 17:26 – 27,加粗部分为作者所加)。 在《使徒行传》第 10 章中,哥尼流也是一个例子。作为对主的纪念,他的祈祷和施舍已经达到神那里。这就是为什么上帝派了一位天使告诉他去召唤西门·彼得,彼得会告诉他和他的家人他们必须做什么才能得救(《使徒行传》 11:14)。 那位在井边的女子被告知,如果她能明白上帝的恩赐以及与她交谈之人是谁,她就会向他祈求,并且祂会赐给她永生之水(《约翰福音》 4:10)。在约4:14 中,主解释说,上帝的恩赐就是永生,而那永生之水就是耶稣基督所保证给所有相信祂的人的救赎信息,也就是赐予他们永生。
