Even though the Lord prayed often, Mark records only three specific times when He prayed (1:35; 6:46; 14:32). All three times were at night. On all three occasions, the Lord withdrew to be by Himself. Each time of prayer was also a reminder that He had come to suffer. For example, the third time Jesus
