Bible students who are open to its teachings soon discover that often, the word saved does not mean being saved from the lake of fire. Most readers of this blog are already aware of that. Recently, a friend pointed out another NT verse in which the word saved does not refer to eternal salvation. I had always assumed that the verse refers to salvation from the lake of fire.  That verse is Acts 2:47.
