Welcome to Grace in Focus radio. Today and all this week, Ken Yates and Bob Wilkin are answering questions from listeners like you. Today, there are three questions: Why does James 2:23 seem to mention that Abraham’s righteousness was not complete until he offers up Isaac? Did he not have faith much earlier in his life? Then, there is another question about the free-grace position and eschatology. And there is a third question about GES: Where do you find the central passage in the Bible for Eternal Salvation? Bob and Ken give great answers to these questions with applications for us today. Please listen and join us each weekday for Grace in Focus radio!

Where in the Bible Does it Say ”The Way You are Born Again is By Believing in Jesus For Salvation That Cannot Be Lost?”
Condemnation, Jn 11:25-26, Jn 3:16-18, Jn 4:10, Perish, Saved
How do we know that the way to be born again is by believing in Jesus for eternal life? How do we know that assurance is part of the saving message? Today on Grace in Focus radio, Bob and Shawn will be unpacking these questions. First, the guys will discuss John 3;16-18 and apply these verses to the questions. Bob will also discuss passages such as John 4:10 and Eph 2:8-9. The guys will also address the concept of believing in Jesus "for" something and why this is an important distinction (1 Tim 1:16). We hope you can join us as we dive into these questions.

The Misunderstood Word – Salvation – Part 2 (NT Uses)
Earthly Salvation, Eternal Salvation, Salvation Meaning New Testament., Saved
Today on Grace in Focus radio, Bob and Shawn are continuing a discussion on the word "saved." This is part of a series where the guys are looking at ten common misunderstood words in the Bible. In the previous episode, they discussed how the word "saved" can refer to many different things. Specifically, they gave examples in the Old Testament of how 'saved" is used to refer to temporal or earthly salvation. The guys will now shift their attention, and discuss when this important term is used to mean eternal salvation. We will hear them give more examples in the New Testament and hopefully provide helpful ways to determine the meaning of this term within different contexts.
