If You Get Excommunicated From a Church, Have They Removed you From Fellowship With Jesus Christ?

April 27, 2022     1 Jn 1:7, Acts 3:19, Jn20:23, Mt 16:19

Welcome to Grace in Focus radio. Bob and Shawn are currently taking questions from our listeners. Today, they will be unpacking Matthew 16:19. What did the Lord mean by saying that “whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven?” How does this apply to excommunication in a church? If a believer is excommunicated does this mean they lose their salvation or that they lose fellowship with Jesus? The guys will draw from passages such as 1 John 1:7. Acts 3:19, and John 20:23, to provide some clarity to these issues. We hope you can join us as we seek to understand the Lords words in the verse.
