A Personal Letter

January 1, 2004   in Grace in Focus Articles

Dear Grace Partners,

The year 2004 marks Grace Evangelical Society’s 18th year of ministry. GES began as a dream to reach people with the clear message of eternal life through faith alone in Christ alone. Our primary mode of communicating this message has been our newsletter which at first reached only 30 households. However, because of your support it now reaches over 9,000 households in 54 countries.

In the last 17 years we have published over 200 newsletter articles, 150 journal articles in the Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society, 4 booklets, 2 books, 2 commentaries, and many audiotapes and CDs. What began as a networking organization of a small number of churches has grown to include over 300 free grace churches spread across the U.S.

Your faithful support has provided our Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Bob Wilkin, with the opportunity to speak to thousands of people in over 30 churches, schools, and conferences this past year. We are hoping for 300 or more conferees at our own Grace Conference this year.

There are now 80,000 You Can Be Sure booklets in print, which have helped thousands find assurance of eternal life. This booklet is now available in Spanish (¡Puedes Estar Seguro!) and has already been used in church planting in Mexico by Pastor Bob Bryant’s church, Cypress Valley Bible Church (Marshall, TX), and Pastor Luis Rodriquez of Victor Street Bible Chapel (Dallas, TX).

Without the support we receive from our Partners in Grace, none of these things over the last 17 years would have been possible.

It is clear that the grace movement is gaining ground, but the hold that legalism has on the church increases ever more. We need you! Through your prayers and gifts we will continue to reach thousands with the clear message of eternal life.

In Christ,
The GES Staff
